Tea Dance 1980, first exhibited in 2023, include photographs of visual and performing artist, Michael Biello and friends from the 1980’s. Biello’s adventurous use of clay in a ceremonial tea set, along with cod pieces and helmut masks, affirmed a gay perspective in the conservative crafts world at the time. Also included in the exhibit are prints from the Shrouds series (1988) featuring Biello and his husband Dan Martin - in theatrical portraits expressing their shades of love.
